In the name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

至仁なる方、至慈なる方の御名において

Honorable UN Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Respected President General Assembly Vuk Jeremić, Honorable UN Envoy for Global Education Mr. Gordon Brown, Respected elders, and my dear brothers and sisters; As-Salaam-Alaikum .

尊敬する潘基文国連事務総長、敬意を表するヴァク・ジェレミッチ国連総会議長、グローバル教育のための国連特使ゴードン・ブラウン氏、敬愛する長老の皆様、そして親愛なる兄弟姉妹の皆様。アッサラーム・アライクム

Today, it is an honor for me to be speaking again after a long time.

長い間を経て再びお話しできることを光栄に思います

Being here with such honorable people is a great moment in my life and it's an honor光栄に思う for me that today I'm wearing a shawl of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.

このような尊い方々と共にここにいることは私の人生における素晴らしい瞬間であり、今日はベナジル・ブットー・シャーヒドのショールを身につけられることも光栄です

I don't know where to begin my speech.

まずどこから話せばよいか分かりません

I don't know what people would be expecting me to say.

人々が私に何を期待しているのかも分かりません

But first of all, thank you to God for whom we all are equal and thank you to every person who has prayed for my fast recovery and a new life.

しかし第一に、私たち皆が平等である神へのお礼と、私の快復と新しい命を祈ってくれた全ての人々への感謝を申し上げます

I cannot believe how much love people have shown me.

人々が私に見せた愛の大きさに信じられません

I have received thousands of good wish cards and gifts from all over the world.

世界中から何千ものお祝いカードや贈り物をいただきました

Thank you to all of them.

その全ての方々に感謝します

Thank you to the children whose innocent words encouraged me.

無邪気な言葉で私を勇気づけてくれた子供たちにも感謝します

Thank you to my elders whose prayers strengthened me.

私を強くしてくれた長老の方々にも感謝します

I would like to thank my nurses, doctors, and the staff of the hospitals in Pakistan and the UK, and the UAE government who have helped me to get better and recover

Today is the day of every woman, every boy, and every girl who have raised their voice for their rights.

今日は自分の権利のために声を上げたすべての女性、少年、少女の日です。

There are hundreds of human rights activists and social workers who are not only speaking for their rights but who are struggling to achieve their goal of peace, education, and equality.

人権活動家やソーシャルワーカーが何百人もいて、自分たちの権利について話すだけでなく、平和、教育、平等という目標を達成するために努力しています。

Thousands of people have been killed by the terrorists and millions have been injured.

テロリストによって数千人が殺され、数百万人が負傷しました。

I'm just one of them.

私はただその一人にすぎません。

So here I stand, one girl among many.

I speak, not for myself, but for those without voice can be heard, those who have fought for their rights: Their right to live in peace.

Their right to be treated with dignity.

Their right to equality of opportunity.
