Please welcome to "The Late Show," Min-ha Kim!

(Cheers and applause) (Band playing) Hi!

There you go.

Hello.

Welcome to "The Late Show."

Nice to have you here.

Oh, thank you for inviting me.

This is your first late-night talk show appearance, isn't it?

Yes, yes.

I'm happy to have you here.

Oh, I'm so nervous.

You're starring in "Pachinko" on Apple TV+, which is an adaptationa story of a bestselling book by the same name.

It's a celebrated book.

The show is also celebrated.

Your performance is blowing people away.

Thank you.

I'm curious: did you read the book before you auditionedto perform for an employer or director to see if you are suitable for a job or role.?

No, I didn't have any idea.

When I first started the audition, I didn't know it was Pachinko.

So the casting director called and said, "Do you want to participate?"

I said, "Yeah, why not."

I didn't know it was "Pachinko."

After I got the second callback, I read the book.

I started at 10:00 p.m.

I just finished at 8:00 a.m.

I couldn't put it down.
