1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to LingoTube ("LingoTube", "we", "us", or "our"), a video-based English learning service that turns YouTube and other online videos into bilingual, close-reading lessons with tap-to-define vocabulary. LingoTube is operated by AHAMILLION LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, and is available at lingotube.app.

By accessing or using LingoTube, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use LingoTube. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Description of the Service

LingoTube lets you paste a video link and generates a sentence-by-sentence lesson with bilingual subtitles, instant word definitions, pronunciation, a vocabulary bank, and spaced-repetition review. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription ("Pro"). We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

4. Accounts and Registration

  1. Account creation. Some features require an account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
  2. Account security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
  3. Notification. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.

5. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

  • Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payment processor, Stripe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Except where required by applicable law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Where you have a statutory right to cancel (such as a cooling-off period for consumers in the UK or EU), that right applies; by choosing to access paid features immediately, you may be agreeing to begin the service before any cooling-off period ends.
  • Prices may change; we will give reasonable notice of changes before they take effect.

6. Acceptable Use

When using LingoTube, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
  • Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party;
  • Attempt to access, scrape, disrupt, or interfere with the security or performance of the service;
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, paywalls, or other technical restrictions;
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.

7. User-Submitted Links and Third-Party Content

LingoTube processes videos and their captions that you choose to submit. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of any third-party video complies with that platform's terms (including the YouTube Terms of Service) and does not infringe anyone's copyright. You should only submit content you are permitted to use for personal study.

All videos, captions, trademarks, and other materials belong to their respective owners. LingoTube is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, TED, Google, or any content creator.

8. Intellectual Property

The LingoTube software, design, branding, curated lesson data, and dictionary content are owned by AHAMILLION LTD and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any ownership of the service. Your personal vocabulary lists and study data remain yours.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Translations, definitions, and other language content are generated in part by automated systems and may contain errors. We make no warranties as to the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service, and disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AHAMILLION LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AHAMILLION LTD and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or that your conduct is harmful to other users, to us, or to any third party.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on our website. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers may also bring claims in the courts of their country of residence where required by law.
