BTS RM's Keynote Speech at the APEC CEO Summit (2025)

Uh, it's a huge honor.

えっと、とても光栄です。

When we said we are artists from Korea, they didn't ask us about our music.

「韓国出身のアーティストです」と言うと、音楽については聞かれませんでした。

They asked, "Are you from North Korea or South Korea?"

彼らはこう尋ねました。「北朝鮮ですか、それとも南朝鮮ですか？」と。

Where on earth is Korea?

そもそも韓国はどこにあるのかと。

So, we had to explain where Korea was before we could even talk about our music.

だから、音楽について話す前にまず韓国の場所を説明しなければなりませんでした。

And that was the reality.

それが当時の現実でした。

But we overcame those barriers, and now I'm here today sharing this precious moment with you.

しかし私たちはその障壁を乗り越え、今日ここに立ってこの貴重な瞬間を皆様と共有できています。

ARMY was the force that broke down those barriers.

ARMYこそが、その障壁を打ち破った力でした。

They used our music as the medium to carry out conversations that cross borders and languages.

彼らは音楽を媒体として、国境や言語を超えた対話を広げてくれました。

They were inspired by the message in the music of BTS to give to charity, to run social campaigns, and, finally, the world was amazed.

BTSの音楽に込められたメッセージに触発され、慈善活動や社会キャンペーンを行い、ついに世界が驚嘆しました。
